Our Sustainable Fashion Journey

Fashion That Speaks Your Name

JEANIOUS is a sustainable fashion start-up that transforms old denim into unique, trendy apparel for Gen Z, with a personal touch.

Beyond upcycling denim into statement T-shirts, JEANIOUS allows customers to personalise their purchase by adding custom embroidery such as their name, initials, or a short phrase. This option adds individuality, creates a sense of ownership, and makes each piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Why Denim Deserves a Second Life

Every year, over 2.7 billion kilograms of textiles end up in landfills worldwide and denim is one of the biggest culprits. A single pair of jeans takes over 7,500 litres of water to produce, and most end up thrown away long before their fabric wears out.

Breathing New Life Into Old Denim

At Jeanious, we’re here to change that. What started as a small initiative among student advocates to collect unwanted denim from friends, eco-clubs, and campus drives which has grown into a movement. Instead of adding to the waste, we upcycle each piece of denim into something new and meaningful.

We cut, patch, and hand-stitch old denim onto fresh basics like T-shirts, totes, and accessories, creating one-of-a-kind streetwear pieces. Each product carries our signature J logo with a leaf-shaped dot, symbolising that every Jeanious piece saves fabric and gives it a second life.

From Campus to Closet: The Jeanious Cycle

Every JEANIOUS piece starts with denim that would otherwise go to waste. We work with students, eco-clubs, and advocates at Ngee Ann Poly to collect unwanted jeans and give them a second life.

Instead of letting them pile up in landfills, we cut, patch, and transform each fabric into fresh, trend-driven pieces.

It’s not just upcycling, it’s a campus-driven circular economy, where every donation turns into something fashionable, personal, and sustainable.

Got old denim? Be part of the cycle.

Innovation in Upcycling

At JEANIOUS, we don’t just recycle denim, we reinvent it. Our process goes beyond simple patchwork, using trend-driven cuts, custom embroidery, and our signature J logo to make sustainability look fresh, not forced.

We push boundaries by experimenting with textures, layering, and streetwear-inspired designs to turn every donated jean into a statement piece that feels personal and current.

By blending innovation with sustainability, we prove that upcycling can be more than eco-friendly. It can be fashion-forward, customisable, and Gen Z-approved.
